Today’s smoothie recipe consist of strawberries and blueberries. Berries are full of antioxidants. So not only is this smoothie going to taste good, but it’s also going to be good for you.
Always make sure to wash your fruits and vegetables before using them.
For this smoothie, I decided to add milk instead of water. There’s something about blueberries and milk that goes together. I don’t know maybe it’s childhood memories. I used Almond milk just because I have problems digesting whole milk. But you can use any type of milk you like. Or if you prefer, you can skip the milk and just simply add water. It will still taste just as good.
Health benefits of this drink:
- packed with antioxidants
- excellent source of vitamin C (vitamins C is great for the skin)
- helps fight bad cholesterol
- helps reduce inflammation
- may help prevent cancer, according to some scientific studies
