#003: Ask Aimee: How do I get back on track?

This is the third question of my “Ask Aimee” blog series and today’s question is as follows:

Q: I’m not happy with myself that I got off track from my workouts. I need to get back on track. How do I get back on track to my workout schedule?

A: First of all, don’t be so hard on yourself.  Things happen in life or sometimes we just get too busy. It happens to the best of us, even to the pros.

I recommend you start working out slowly again, even if it’s just for 30 minutes. Be patient, but most important be consistent!

If you keep at it, you’ll eventually start building up some momentum and start seeing results.

Seeing results, even if they’re small ones, will help you get your confidence back. You’ll start liking what you see in the mirror, and it will motivate you to want to work out more. When you get to that point, is when you know you’re back on track.

Zumba® is great for helping you get back on track. I highly recommend it.

Many of my students, who have stopped working out in the past, have told me that they fell in love with working out again after taking a Zumba® Fitness classes.

Why? Because Zumba® is so much fun that it doesn’t feel like you’re actually working out. Women look forward to going to the next class, some of them even end up taking more classes during the week.

Summary

Yes, there’s going to be moments in our life’s that may force us to stop working out and get us off track.

We might even end up gaining weight during that time. But remember, it’s never too late to start all over again.

You pick yourself up and slowing start working out again. Not only will this make you a stronger person on the outside, but also on the inside.

So please, stop being so hard on yourself and get back on your feet and do whatever it is you do to stay in shape. You can do it!
